I have a "cheat weekend" rather than just one day, and it helps to keep me on track. I'll find that all week I'll be craving something (chocolate usually), but then when I go to buy it I'll just not care about it much. On the other hand, if I get to eat some chocky and I'm still craving it, that's a sublime feeling!
