Period for 2 weeks!?!?!?

Okay.. I started taking birth control on September 11th. My period started on the 9th, then stopped on the 12th. Then, on september 22nd i got my period again. It started off fairly normal, then started getting heavy. (i have never have heavy periods.) It hasnt stopped since the 22nd, and doesnt show any signs of stopping. Ive also been very moody and negative these last 2 weeks..*
(between september 12th and 14th I had unprotected sex.. Condom slipped off..)

Is this at all common when starting birth control? Or is something wrong????? Im worried. Thanks..
