Default Botox

So I was wondering if you had the chance would you do this? I think that the results can be good but I have seen to many adverse effects. Where people cannot show emotion on their face after getting botox. That right there has pretty much turned me away from it.

Default re botox

I found out that botox is short for botulism toxin! I think I'll need my wrinkles to get pretty serious before I'd try botox.

Default botox

I am older and have intentions of getting botox. I feel I have earned every winkle I have. And am proud of it.

That is a great way to look at it Riskey58. I know it seems weird to be putting something that you would normally stay away from intentionally into your body.

Default botox

I have heard that your muscles can completely lose tone after many botox treatments. Besides, I don't like the idea of being injected with any form of botulism. I might try something like Restalyne instead.

I think there is some credence to people not being able to make expressions on their face. There are quite a few older women on TV, such as Joan Rivers and Janice Richardson (I think her name is) who can't smile for the life of them. What they manage looks like a snarl to me.

Do you ever watch Dancing with the Stars? Priscilla Presley looked like a wax doll, an arrogant one actually, because she couldn't smile with her eyes. She must have had quite a bit done.

I think you're right, Lyndsey. It doesn't seem like Priscilla Presley has been able to change her expression in a long time. I saw a recent picture of Lisa Marie, and she looks to be heading down that same path as her mom.

There was a very pretty actress in UK who had botox around her lips, it went wrong and ruined her looks. It is very sad for her but I think it has made a lot of people think hard before having botox.

Botox and botulisum also does something for the muscle weakness and tendon loss in our bodies and is being used for medical reasons as well. I know a young man who is in wheelchair and because he has weak tone the medical team is considering botox for him. Not sure how it will react exactly but it is supposed to improve his tone and help him stand easier after many treatments. I am interested to see what it does.
Also botulism was used many years ago in my boyfriends eye. He has one that looks the other way. Really cool when you are trying to negotiate a deal with someone but in an attempt to fix it so they would both stay focused they used the botulism, no go, it worked for a short while and then the eye decided it was going to do what it wants to do again. He loves to see if he can freak people out, some get the biggest kick out of it and some nervous about it. He has decided to just leave it alone since he is so used to how it is and it really does not bother him.
I know some substances are not supposed to be in our bodies like botulism but supposedly within certain areas of use it reacts differently, not sure I would ever use it to take wrinkles away but then again if I get any I might change my mind really quick too, depends on where they are and how they look but I would not use it to the point of making myself look like some people who get carried away with it either. Seen some like you said who can't even smile anymore.

I think in the vast majority of cases, a few wrinkles are preferable to an unnatural look. I'd say try to avoid wrinkles by staying out of the sun, getting plenty of sleep and staying hydrated. I realize in some cases, there may already be damage done from the sun.

Maybe that is why I don't have any yet. I did expect a couple by now but most of my life I spent in very little bits of sun. I have only been burnt once mostly on the legs but did learn my lesson, that was a bad one. As far as being hydrated I could do better I am sure.

Default Be proud of your wrinkles

I know that wrinkles seen in a mirror are not pleasant. Gaining weight falls into the same category. I dont know much about botox, eating green vegetables and using sunscreen are my ways to fight them off. I started to eat alot of greens and after a month my face benifited from it. alot.
