Default STD Testing

Hello, I am a new member and I have a question regarding STD testing.

I am not a sexually active male, but sex is becoming a possibility within the near future. I am considering taking an STD test in preparation for anything that may happen.

Considering the fact that I have had zero sexual partners in the past, is this STD testing recommended? I'm afraid of going to the clinic without any obvious symptoms of an STD.

Apologies if the question is redundant...

I thank you for your input!

It's always good to know where you stand as anything can happen right?
When you go to get your testing done, don't forget to ask about testing liver enzymes for Hepatitis.
As a quick note, if someone has cold sores on the mouth and performs oral sex on you, you WILL get genital herpes.
