Default Question for Men

Which of the many health concerns that affect men are you most worried about? What are you doing to increase your chances of avoiding it?

Default prostate

Hi katherine,

Anything to do with prostate is a big concern. More men get prostate cancer than women get breast cancer. It's frightening.

The government should spend more money on prevention than curing cancer. Billions are spend on the cure meanwhile the gov sits back and allows companies to sell foods that are obviously causing these cancer epidemics.

Good question, I posed it to my hubby and he agreed about prostate being the number one scary thing. ED can be addressed with pills and such, but prostate is a very serious area and fellows who get cancer there get knocked down pretty badly.

I agree that the prostate concern is probably number one. I missed my checkup last year, but I've already had one this year.

Aside from that, personally I want to keep an eye on my blood pressure.

Prostrate has a stigma attached which is difficult to overcome.

My own partner is more worried about the general aches and pains that come with manual work, as being physically fit is essential to doing everything that we want to.

My husband said colan and prostrate cancer. I never knew that he thought about those to be honest. He just usually blows that stuff off which drives me nuts.

I think that for many men, heart disease is also high on the list of concerns.

I know some of us who have heartburn from time to time start to wonder if the symptoms really are just about digestion. I spoke to someone last week who said he takes an antacid tablet and is relieved when the discomfort goes away immediately, meaning that it isn't a heart problem.

I worry more about my heart than anything else.

my biggest fear is health problems due to stress from bad friendships and relationships. Ive heard people who have close bonded relationships are alot less acceptable to heart, kidney, liver desase and also prostate cancer, intestinal problems. I work on maintaining my relations with the people in my circle.

Found out 2 months ago I have Restrictive Cardiomyopathy........that was a shocker, it took almost 3 years to diag! Been having trouble for that long before I got to see a Dr who knew alot about that field in medicine (heart). Does anyone else here have this...it is rare apparently, trust me to get it. Just wondered what to expect for the next 5-6 years. That's about how lng I have to live by all accounts.
