massive ulcer with other pain
Hi, all,
30 days ago, out of the blue I had a pain radiated from the lower right abdomen slightly above the belly button. I had an ulcer attack about 6 years ago. My natural thought obviously is another ulcer attack.
I immediately reached for my Rabeprazole pills ("Pariet" brand name) which I still have in my drawer and took one every day. The pain did not go away.
I went to my family doctor. He gave me blood tests and ultrasonic tests. All looks okay (accept he informed me I have kidney stones on both kidney, another problem). All he could suggest was to take the Pariet once a day and see what happen.
After 2 weeks it was still painful in my abdomen general areas. Only then he booked me to see a surgeon. He explained to me a surgeon can perform endoscopy. As you know, over here in Canada, medical attention does NOT come early. I have to wait for another 2 weeks for the surgeon's appointment! Once I saw the surgeon, all he had to say is to take 2 Pariet pills a day instead of one and Zantac on top of that before sleep time. He told me to see him again after 2 weeks!!!
Meanwhile, I was in pain and I know this is more than the ulcer because I have dull pain at least in two locations. One near the Duodenum and one horizontally near the appendix. These pain stays with me 24/7.
The double dosage plus Zantac seems to calm the ulcer burning sensation but the two locations where the dull pain existed still there. They are more distinct because I no longer had the burning sensation of the ulcer.
How can I speed up the process????? It is over 30 days now and I still don't have an Endoscopy check??? I still does not know what is wrong with me??
I would probably take the surgeon about 15 minutes to perform the endoscopy tests. But he is taking his time. I will see him next week in his OFFICE. it will probably another week or so before he will perform the tests.
I am afraid the situation will be worsen by then.
Do I need to vomit, bleeding, or dying before I get attention???
Anyone can suggest what should I do?
Regards,
gene
