Default Does milk help an upset stomach?

Mine's seems to only settle once I've had a glass of milk, yet other times it makes me feel queasy. Is it the milk or just because it's cold perhaps?

I think that if the cause of your upset stomach is just nerves, milk will work well for your stomach, because the milk contains some relaxing properties.
If your upset stomach is due to stomach acid, the milk will curdle and cause you further distress.
...IMHO

I love a glass of very cold milk but sometimes it makes me double over in stomach shock. The sudden pain goes away as fast as it comes but I have learned to let it sit for a few minutes out of the fridge and the shock does not seem to hit me. I thought I was becoming lactose intolerant. I heard people say warm milk is what calms the stomach and also makes a person sleep better if taken before bed. Try letting it sit and see if that helps you too.

I've drank ginger ale for an upset stomach. I hear it's good for you, especially if it's flat, as in no carbonation.

Also for nerves, I've heard that bananas are good to help calm you down.

Hot peppermint tea with a spoon of honey is a grand stomach-settler. Chamomile tea is good for the nerves.

How about ginger tea? I enjoy that if I'm outside on a cold, wet day.

I've also heard peppermint tea is good for settling stomachs.
