I am only able to wear real gold earrings. I can't wear sterling silver or nickel or any other material because it causes the whole area to turn red, swell, and cause puss to form and ooze out....all within half an hour of putting them in. It sounds like maybe you just can't handle whatever substance you're putting in there.
