Not Using Wash Cloth?

Over the years, I had better results in clearing up my skin complexion after I stopped using a wash cloth, in favour of medicated single use pads to clean my face.

I think that the cloth retained oil which would clog my pores.

Has anyone else here had similar results?

Washcloths do hold bacteria and should be replaced after each use if you have sensitive skin.

Single use pads are more sanitary, but using clean hands works well, too. I have found that washing hands with an anti bacterial soap, then going through my face care routine, works better than using a washcloth.

I just use my bare hands, and I wash my face twice a day. I think it works pretty good for me that way, I don't like to use a wash cloth because I've heard they hold bacteria too easily.

I cannot seem to find any of the pads that don't irritate or dry my skin out. I have just always used a washcloth but I only use them once and then I rewash it.

I too just use my hands most of the time, though using a washcloth is useful occassionally to exfoliate the skin. I tend to use my hands when I am in the shower or washing at the sink, and a washcloth when I soak in the bath & the steam has a chance to open up the pores & soften the skin.

I agree that it is a good idea to wash your washcloth after each use though.

Environmentally, single use pads produce allot of avoidable waste.

That's true. I would expect that the cotton ones would biodegrade fairly efficiently though. Do you think that's the case?

Not using wash cloths

I have always just used my hands. And it seems to work out good for me. Have no real problems.

Have you tried the dry pads that you buy without any solution on them?

I can imagine that the ones that come packed in alcohol would dry out some people's skin.

I'd rather pass on using those pads because of how many I'd go through. Using my hands only has always worked just fine and I use a light exfoliating mask type thing a couple times a week, so that helps, too.

I just use my hands and soap and water then I dry my face with a clean towel. I don't put anything else on my face except sun block when necessary and i don't get spots.

Yes, I used to use a wash cloth before I tried the pads, and the pads were much better. I also think the cloth was perhaps a bit too rough on already unhappy skin.

I have not tried these. I am sure that the ones with alcohol would dry your skin. I think that I will just stick to using my hands.

What about using a container to soak the wash cloth in before washing?
Also using face wipes but washing out their chemicals first and storing a few in a container till used up, then make up some more for the next few days.?
