Absolutely not! An untrained person should not try to manipulate the spine. Chiropractic is not massage.

My chiropractor actually spent more time studying than is required for my family doctor.

I will admit that a chiroprator does go through a lot of schooling and do help a lot of people with pain relief. Myself I just do not believe them, but if they can help people that is great.

I went to one quite awhile back because I have scoliosis and honestly it did help with the pain I would get with standing for long periods of time.

Only reason I don't know I could trust them is because too many people I know seem to get addicted to going and eventually they go for a head ache. I am sure a head ache could be caused by a neck problem but some of these people seem lonely to me and I got the impression that it is about having someone give you their attention. I just did not want to become someone dependant on a chiropractor myself. and I really don't want nothing not broken to get broken.

Well, they are qualified doctors of chiropracty, not doctors of medicine. That's why they're addressed as "doctor". Should you ever, god forbid, get your spine injured or out of whack, you might want to give them a try. (Hope you never need to!)

I might try one for a number of things... but truthfully I'd be scared to death to let someone mess around with trying to manipulate my spine. That's the center of a lot of things including walking and it's just not a worthwhile risk in my personal way of thinking.

ive never been to one although my mother has. She was having headaches and after her family doctor exhausted the pain meds he recomended a neck adjustment. It helped the headaches but i agree, realy do your research on somone that handles your sensitive bones.
