Your thoughts on integrative medicine in Canada--good idea?
I am interested in your opinions about integrative medicine in Canada. Is it a good idea? Integrative medicine refers to combining traditional medicine with conventional medicine in our health care system. There are a number of benefits of traditional medicine, such as fewer side effects, it is all-natural, etc--in comparison to conventional medicine. Should the Canadian government look into funding this sort of thing?
I personally like the idea. Each type of medicine can offset the other. And the use of natural herbs is great, because they do work! And it gives people choice, let's say if somebody isn't benefiting from a certain type of medication. If someone wanted professional alternative medicinal treatment, they would have to spend a lot of money. Is an integrative medicinal system beneficial?
(Sorry that this thread doesn't quite relate to Chinese medicine specifically. There wasn't any other appropriate place I could start this thread :P)
